Nelson Mandela is an inspiration to young people. In order to build on his legacy, the Mandela 365 Project was born
Objectives
- To develop and promote young leaders in the community (by using Nelson Mandela's legacy of Ubuntu by promotion of the values that have embodied Nelson Mandela's life ‐ democracy; equality; reconciliation; diversity; responsibility; respect and freedom advocating for a universal values-based society).
- To create new opportunities for community engagement and understanding based on Nelson Mandela's life of service and advocacy for human rights, peace and social justice.
- To equip young participants with the knowledge and skills to serve their community with purpose by imparting skills to their peers, community and family.
